Dr. Corina Collins
Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Corina Collins is the dedicated primary veterinarian and co-owner of PetSmart Veterinary Services in Alpharetta! Her journey into veterinary medicine is fueled by an unwavering desire to help both people and animals, coupled with an enthusiasm for providing quality care for her patients. Dr. Collins loves working together with pet owners to provide all of the available treatment options and recommendations and nothing brings her more joy than seeing a pet recover and thrive under her care.
Dr. Collins holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine (Class of 2016), complimented by a Bachelor of Animal, Poultry and Veterinary Sciences from Tuskegee University (Class of 2012). In pursuit of providing comprehensive care, Dr. Collins furthered her training by obtaining certification as a veterinary acupuncturist from Chi University in 2021. This specialized training allows her to offer holistic care options that complement traditional veterinary treatments.
One of Dr. Collins' primary focuses is advocating for Fear Free practices, ensuring every patient at Petsmart Veterinary Services has a positive and stress-free experience.
Fear Free handling techniques prioritize the emotional well-being of pets, promoting a calm and comfortable environment during veterinary visits.
Fun Fact: Dr. Collins has an adorable cat, Seven Jr., who thinks he’s part dog! Seven Jr. has a quirky habit of drinking water from the toilet (despite having a water fountain) and eagerly awaits her return by greeting her at the door with enthusiastic meows.
